Unlike a t-shirt, a gadget can arrive perfectly made and still not work for you if you skip the compatibility checks below.

Voltage and plugs are the number one thing beginners miss. Many China-market electronics are built for 220–240V and ship with a Chinese two-pin plug. Before ordering, confirm:

• Voltage — does the device support your country's voltage (e.g. 110V), or is it dual-voltage? A single-voltage device on the wrong supply can be damaged.
• Plug type — you may need a simple plug adapter, or for some items a voltage converter. Ask in your Mulebuy order notes if the listing isn't clear.
• Frequency and standards — some appliances are tuned to local grids.

Wireless and regional compatibility. Phones, routers, and radio devices may use frequency bands that differ by region, and some apps or firmware default to Chinese. Be realistic about warranty. Manufacturer warranties on China-market electronics are typically domestic and usually can't be claimed internationally once forwarded.
